Our Story

Rhonda Piggee, founder of Safety Piggee, is passionate about protecting people. It is her desire to see that people everywhere have the tools they need to keep themselves and others safer on the job, in the home and in the world around us. Rhonda and the Safety Piggee team believe that by offering a variety of custom safety videos, industrial hygiene solutions, and both onsite and offsite safety, health and environmental compliance training to employees and business owners, they can make a significant difference in today’s generation, as well as future generations. Through Safety Piggee, Rhonda has found a way to blend her extensive experience and her love for people with her knowledge of local, state and government compliance as it pertains to health and safety.

Rhonda has assisted in developing and executing systems and standards for the analysis of HSE (Health/Safety/Environment) statistics, implement HSE policies, procedures and guidelines for the employees and department safety. She has also been a part of implementing the annual Safety, Health and Environment strategy in order to achieve a Zero Injury Culture.

Rhonda, National Safety Council Rising Star of Safety 2014, received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University and her Bachelor of Science in Human Development with a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. She holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Designation. She is Lean Six Sigma Certified, an OSHA Outreach Trainer, is a Certified HAZWOPER Training Specialist and holds a certificate in Industrial Hygiene Management. Her experience was gained working on multiple U.S. military bases in Iraq, as well as in the Pulp and Paper, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries. Rhonda is dedicated to helping foster a safer, actively caring culture on worksites, schools and organizations and to create a balance between both regulatory compliance and the behavioral side of safety one location at a time.

 Values and Vision

Rhonda believes that in order to reach the generation of tomorrow, changes must be made to how we operate businesses today. With the services offered by the Safety Piggee team, your company can impact the future. It is Safety Piggee’s goal to touch as many lives as possible through safety training in more than two dozen fields. This goal will be reached by giving free safety classes for a school or non-profit organization of her clients choosing for every new contract signed.

It is the Safety Piggee team’s vision to train students, employers and Safety, Health and Environmental professionals to have workplaces that meet and exceed the requirements needed to have a facility that is incident and injury free.
